Dr. Ahsan Mahmood
Lead General Dentist
During undergraduate education at Carleton University, Dr. Ahsan Mahmood developed a deep sense of serving the community and volunteered with numerous organizations in Ottawa, while cultivating a meticulous work ethic. He discovered his passion for scientific research during his undergraduate studies. After earning his B.Sc. (Honours) in biology in 2011, he pursued a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Ottawa, where he did research about heart failure.
Dr. Mahmood’s love for art, science, and community service led him to pursue a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Toronto. After graduating in 2017, he went on to further his clinical skills by opting for additional 1-year General Practice Residency (GPR) training in one of the largest and most prestigious training programs at the Montefiore Hospital in New York City. As a resident, he developed a deep interest in dental implants and aesthetic dentistry.
Aesthetic dentistry has allowed Dr Mahmood to blend his love of science and the arts while helping improve people’s self-confidence by creating beautiful smiles. He provides dental care experience that is amenable to most sensitive patients. He aspires to make oral health accessible to everyone and is a big proponent of patient education and preventive dentistry. He maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys working out and cycling. He loves to spend his recreational time doing outdoor activities with his lovely wife and three adorable children.
Dr. Sarina Ly
Dr. Ly was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where she completed her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Ottawa. She then spent four years in Cork, Ireland, earning her Honours Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from University College Cork, National University of Ireland. Dr. Ly is a licensed member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and an active member of the Ontario Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Ly is committed to creating a positive and relaxed environment while providing compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs. She believes in a minimally invasive and evidence-based approach to dentistry and takes the time to educate her patients so they are informed and comfortable throughout their visits. Dr. Ly also offers nitrous oxide and oral sedation options to support patients who may experience anxiety about dental treatment. She feels privileged to serve families across Kanata, Stittsville, and the wider Ottawa community and values the opportunity to work with patients of all ages to achieve and maintain lasting oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ly enjoys baking, travelling, and spending time with her family.

We are pleased to share an update about our practice. Dr. Ahsan Mahmood has joined us as the new owner as we begin gradually preparing for our future retirement. We want to reassure you that this transition reflects our long-term plans to step back from the practice of dentistry. This decision was made with great care. We selected Dr. Mahmood because he shares our philosophy of patient care, professional values, and our commitment to maintaining the high standard of dentistry you have come to expect over the past 18 years. In addition to his clinical experience in areas such as Invisalign, Implant dentistry, Root Canal Therapy, and complex rehabilitation, we have come to know him as a dentist who approaches patients with compassion, integrity, and genuine dedication to their well-being.
Most importantly, we will continue practicing here during the transition period alongside Dr. Mahmood. This ensures continuity of care and allows for a smooth, comfortable transition for both our patients and our team. Our staff, location, and approach to care remain the same. You can continue to expect the same attention to detail, and the same dedication to your comfort and oral health. We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years.
